I have a lenovo thinkpad t420 and am trying to use the sim card reader allocated under the battery on my laptop. I have an active sim card with unlimited internet. I cannot even find a 3g option on the 'Access Connections' application i use to manage my connections. i was wondering if there was a way to initially set up the 3g or a special way of connecting as i have tried to connect the same way i connect to Wi-fi.

To properly use this sim card as a mobile broadband service on the laptop you will need the following 3 things:
1 – A Sim card with mobile broadband service from the provider of your choice, today its Vodafone
2 – A WWAN card, ie a Wide Wireless Access Card 3 – And
3; The necessary drivers and software for the WWAN card.
