Computer Keeps Rebooting
Question: When I start up my computer it goes the screen saying, "Windows was not shut down properly" it then lists the different start up modes (safe mode, regular etc.) the problem is my wireless keyboard for some reason isn’t registering. So I wait until the 30 seconds goes through to start up regularly. It begins its normal boot but then before it gets to the log in screen it restarts itself again and just loops in this fashion... I even tried plugging a wired keyboard in but still... nothing. Any ideas?

It could be that you have a faulty piece of hardware in your computer
and Windows is having problems initializing it during startup. I would
begin by removing other hardware so you only have what you need to start
the computer such as memory, hard drive and video card to see if you
can narrow it down.
It could also be virus
related. If you can take the drive out and attach it to another
computer and check for viruses that may be a good idea.
Have you tried to boot into Safe Mode
to see if you can get it to start that way? Then you can investigate
and see what may be causing the problem. You can also uncheck your startup items to see if they are causing it as well. Plus you can check your Event Viewer logs for information.
Another thing to try in Safe Mode if you can get there is to prevent the computer from rebooting when it has an error.
Right click My Computer and select Properties. Click on the Advanced tab and under the startup and recovery, click Settings. Then uncheck the box that says Automatically Restart under System Failure.

You can also pick the Last Know Good Configuration option in the Safe Mode menu.
There is a good chance
that if its hardware related it could be a faulty motherboard or even
RAM and its hard to say without having it tested.
