DLL Errors

Question: I receive the following error when startup: a required .DLL file CDRTC.DLL was not found which leads to iexplorer has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL and iexplorer has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL. Thank You for any help you can give me

Answer: Cdrtc.dll is a dll file used by Roxio and is part of Drag-to-Disc. Do you have any Roxio CD burning software on your computer? Can you still burn CDs? You may want to try to reinstall Roxio if you can or remove it completely if you don't use it.

Another quicker option may be to try is to disable the Drag-to-Disk program from stating with your computer. You can look in your system startup and uncheck the item that says DrgToDsk and reboot and see what happens. Look here to find out how to do so.

One more option is to try and download the Cdrtc.dll file or take it off another computer and copy it to your C:\Windows\System32 folder. This may be dangerous so do so at your own risk. Here is a site that offers a download of the file but its hard to say if its the same version you need.

To fix the Iexplorer has caused an error in MSHTML.DLL and Iexplorer has caused an error in KERNEL32.DLL errors may be as simple as an Internet Explorer upgrade. Open Internet Explorer and go to Help and then About. If it doesn't say Version 6.0 then you should do an upgrade. You should be able to upgrade from a Windows Update.
