Floppy Drive Light Stays On
Question: How to fix when the light of floppy drive always on or reading? There is no floppy inside it. And second Question is what to do when my laptop doesn’t a have display? I can’t see the display on the monitor its to dark....plsss help...
Answer: When the
floppy light stays on constantly its usually one of two things. Either
the ribbon cable connected to the drive was put on backwards or the
drive has gone bad. If you haven't played with the cable then its most
likely the drive itself. It could be possible that the ribbon cable has
gone bad too. The drives are inexpensive, only $25 or so. You can check
the cable connection and even try swapping out the cable.
For your laptop I have seen that
before where the screen is completely blank its usually the motherboard
since that's where the video is coming from. If its just dark and you
can see something then it could be the LCD display itself.
