Internet Explorer Cuts Off Right Side Of Page When Printing
Question:Often, when I print a copy of something from a web site, the printing cuts off at the right margin cutting off words. Is there someway that I can remedy this problem? Thanks, Mike
Answer: Web
pages are designed to be seen rather than printed. They will be
formatted to fit the screen so it will look its best on your monitor.
You will notice that your monitor is wider than it is tall unlike a
sheet of paper. If the author of the page didn't take into account that
people will want to print the page, there is not much you will be able
to do. You may have noticed on some pages there is a button to print the
page. This will give you a differently formatted version of the page
for printing. Here is a Microsoft article that explains it further.

Another option to use if you tend to
print a lot of web pages is to use the Firefox web browser. Unlike
Internet Explorer, Firefox lets you shrink to fit pages when you print
them so that they won’t get cut off. This way you can print web pages
without losing information.
Another option for Internet Explorer
is to go to File and then Page Setup and adjust the left and right
margins to 0. It may not be enough but will allow more of the page to
print. You can also try setting the page to landscape to see if it will
print what you need it to print. You can go to File and Print Preview to
see how it will print out.
