Laptop Computer Won't Recognize Printer
Question:I have a printer that I have been
using for a year and all of a sudden my laptop cannot find it. We have
tried to reboot and reinstall. It still does not work. My husband who
also does IT work can't figure it out either. It will not locate a
printer.
Answer: Have you
tried another computer on this printer to see if its printer related
rather than computer related? If it's not recognized on another computer
then it can be that the USB connection on the printer has gone bad or
some other component of the printer. If neither computer even recognizes
that you plugged in a device at all even if it doesn't see it as a
printer then that may be the case. If it does recognize it as a USB
device but not a printer then check
Device Manager for any errors. You can also try another cable to see if its cable related.
