At this year’s recently concluded CES technology tradeshow, Qualcomm unveiled its next-generation mobile SoC. Dubbed Snapdragon 835, the chipset is one of the most powerful processors available in the market. Right now, there are no smartphones that come with the Snapdragon 835. That said, it’ll surely power majority of the upcoming flagships this year.

Wondering which smartphones are expected to use Qualcomm’s new powerful yet efficient SoC? Read on to find out.

Samsung Galaxy S8

Samsung Galaxy S8 is easily one of the most talked about flagship smartphones of this year. The handset is claimed to feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 under-the-hood. Samsung, however, will also be using its own Exynos SoC chipset in some region-specific S8 variants. The device is claimed to come with a dual-curved edge display and other premium features.

Google Pixel (2017)

Google is definitely not going to stay behind when it comes to delivering one of the most powerful flagships this year. The 2017 variant of its Pixel smartphone (regardless of what it’s called) will most likely come with a Snapdragon 835. In comparison, the current models have a Snapdragon 821.

OnePlus 4

OnePlus might launch the successor to OnePlus 3T smartphone this year. Most likely to be called OnePlus 4, the handset will almost certainly come with the Snapdragon 835. The Chinese manufacturer has already launched OnePlus 3T with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC.

Moto Z (2017)

Lenovo-owned Motorola is expected to upgrade its entire Z line-up of handsets this year. The 2017 version of the flagship Moto Z is expected to carry a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 under-the-hood.

LG G6

LG G6 is another smartphone that has already been confirmed by the company. Since it is a flagship, in all likelihood it’ll be powered by the Snapdragon 835. The current flagship, G5 has a Snapdragon 820.

Sony Xperia XZ (2017)

Sony may launch the 2017 version of its Xperia XZ smartphone with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 powering it up. The current XZ has a Snapdragon 820 SoC. The smartphone may also come with better camera features and improved Quick Charge abilities.

Xiaomi Mi 6

Xiaomi will be going head-to-head against other flagship smartphones with its 2017 flagship, expected to be called Mi 6. With a Snapdragon 835 powering the smartphone, the Mi 6 will get improved fast charging support, better camera capabilities and more.

Asus Zenfone 4 (2017

Asus launched its Zenfone 3 Deluxe smartphone this year. While the handset is powered by a Snapdragon 821, its successor is most likely to come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835. Not only the Deluxe variant, but the upgraded version of Zenfone 3, which will most probably be called Zenfone 4, could use the Snapdragon 835 as well.

HTC 11

HTC, too, will most likely adapt Qualcomm’s newly-launched SoC in HTC 10’s successor, due to be launched this year. The Taiwanese tech giant will incorporate Snapdragon 835 in HTC 11 (if it’s called that). The current flagship is powered by a Snapdragon 820.
