Huawei's partnership with Leica is a hint that company is getting serious about its phone's camera performance. Huawei has bettered its cameras over the time and now it plans to take this to a whole new level if a series of leaked images of ad creatives are to be believed.
Famous tipster Evan Blass has spotted ads for a Huawei PCE series online. The ad pages reveal some astonishing facts about Huawei's upcoming P-series phone including triple lens rear cameras with an ability to capture 40MP images, 5X hybrid zooming and a 24MP selfie camera. Going by the ads, the phone has been co-designed by Leica, the cmaera company that has also designed the cameras of Huawei Mate 10 and P10.
The ad also mentions of a pro night mode feature and pro AI camera assist. There are speculations that the upcoming PCE series will hold some relation with the company's existing P-series as P10 has been used as the placeholder phone in all the ad banners. The phone could be a successor to the Huawei P10 which comes with dual cameras set of 12MP+ 20MP on the back and 8MP front camera. It could be the Huawei P11 that we are talking about here.
It is unclear of when and where can the company can unveil this phone. However, we suggest you to take this news with a pinch of salt since the advert do not seem to be look official. Bass has also updated that the ads have been taken down thus questioning its authenticity.
But if this is true then the P10 successor will witness some very major upgrades like a 24MP camera straight from the 8MP in P10. The three camera lens compared to the dual cameras go without a mention.
Huawei in October launched the Mate 10 Pro- an AI powered phone. The smartphone comes with a high-end AI support from company's in-house Neural Processing Unit. The phone features a 6-inch bezel-less display and comes with dual cameras at the back- 12MP and 20MP monochrome sensor.
Recently, Huawei's sub-brand Honor launched a new smartphone-Honor 9i- with four cameras. It is Honor's first smartphone to come with four cameras. There are two front cameras and two rear cameras. The phone sports a nearly bezel-less and metal unibody design along with an edge-to-edge display. The phone is capable of taking selfies via gestures. It costs Rs 17,999 in India.
